Glen Jones

Dr. Glen Jones

Glen A. Jones is Professor of Higher Education in the Department of Leadership, Higher and Adult Education, and former dean of the Â¥·ïÌìÌÃ. A globally recognized scholar in the field of higher education, Jones is a prolific contributor to the Canadian and international literature on higher education and a frequent public speaker and commentator on higher education issues. He has received numerous awards for his research and contributions to higher education scholarship, including an honorary degree. In 2021, he was the recipient of the Vivek Goel Citizenship Award. Prof. Jones teaches in the higher education program.

Larissa Bezo

Dr. Larissa Bezo

Larissa Bezo presently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Bureau for International Education. After a distinguished public service career, Larissa pursued her longstanding commitment to international development and solidarity through senior-level assignments with the World Bank and the International Centre for Policy Studies in Ukraine. Larissa Bezo has worked successfully with Boards of Directors and Executive Committees to define strategic priorities and oversee their implementation. She possesses 25 years of professional experience, including 15 years in the international development and education sector.

Steve Orsini

Steve Orsini

Steve Orsini is President and CEO of the Council of Ontario Universities. Prior to this role, Steve held several leadership positions in the Ontario Public Service, including Secretary of the Cabinet, Deputy Minister of Finance and Secretary of the Treasury Board, and Deputy Minister of Revenue. Steve also held several leadership positions at the Ontario Hospital Association, including Vice-President of Policy and Public Affairs.

Steve is a member of the Fiscal Federalism Policy Network, a Board Member of the Ontario Brain Institute and Canadian Ditchley Foundation, and a Senior Fellow at the C.D. Howe Institute. Steve holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Urban and Regional Planning and a Master’s in Environmental Studies.

Maureen Adamson

Maureen Adamson

Maureen Adamson, the sixth president of Fleming College in Peterborough, became interim president and CEO of Colleges Ontario on Jan. 1, 2025. Adamson has more than 25 years of leadership experience in the post-secondary, health care, government and non-profit sectors. Before joining Fleming, she served as Ontario's deputy minister of tourism, culture and sport and deputy minister of the status of women. Her previous roles include president and CEO of the Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences, CEO of Cystic Fibrosis Canada and vice-president of corporate services at Mohawk College.

Adamson holds a diploma in Business Administration from Fleming College, a Bachelor of Business Administration from Lakehead University and an MBA from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management. She has completed the director’s education program at Rotman and the Institute of Corporate Directors, earning certification as a director. She is also pursuing a PhD in higher education.
