A- freaking- MEN!!! As women, specially as mothers we often tend to let everyone and everything around us dictate how we should look and feel about ourselves. Aside from other people’s opinions, sometimes we are our own problem! We get too into our feelings and head and start thinking we are not worthy of such sexy and daring pictures. Well Mami, that is not true! We are ALL definitely worthy of a boudoir session no matter our age, body type, # of births, etc. Every woman’s body is unique and deserves to be celebrated!

Last year I had no idea what to get my hubby for Valentine’s Day. Our second baby had just been born 2 months before that so I was still getting used to post partum life.

I talked to my sister about the idea of gifting my husband a boudoir album. With no energy or confidence to hire an actual photographer, my sis and I decided to DIY it!! I’m so glad we did because my anxiety was under control and we were able to get some great shots in the comfort of my own home.

Trust me, the confidence boost you get when you look at your photos is mind blowing! My hubby did love the gift, but I can honestly say, I think I loved it more! Every now and then when I’m feeling a little down, I take a quick look at the pics on my phone, and it gives me something to smile about, something to admire, and something to remind myself I’m beautiful and sexy!

Unique Gift

After 10+ years of being together, you kind of run out of gift ideas. A boudoir session fixes that! Now if you don’t have a partner and just want to do it for yourself, DO IT!! Like I mentioned above, I think I loved the session and pics way more than my husband did. Why? Because I felt so empowered! The pics showing a strong and confident woman were mine!

It can be something small like what my sister and I did, it can be with a professional photographer at a studio, you can get with a group of girlfriends, or you can take it a step further and include your hubby/partner in the fun!
